Our 1pm Update ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Anyone a bit bored of this? We know we have to but it's still a little tiresome. HOWEVER we've been focusing on the positives and what we CAN do. And list and sell properties is what we CAN do, and boy, we've been doing a LOT of that.

Since we last popped into your inbox we've sold 5 properties, listed 6 more and conducted 19 appraisals (probably a few more by the time I hit send). Trey has also called over 3,500 individual people on our database and is now in a race to contact everyone before the restrictions ease....I feel it's his competitive sporting background coming out in him!

The OCR has raised and we've seen prices of petrol, groceries and property shoot up. We have more on this below and what that means for you.

All our auctions are online now, and will be for a while yet. But before you worry about this, we're actually seeing a better clearance rate than in person - who would have thought! Private Kiwis ah? Each auction has had between three to eight bidders per property as the demand to move is great. Lockdown seems to be doing one of two things to people - more babies or need for more alone time!

Are Property Prices Really Going Up Faster Than Food and Fuel Prices?

You all will have seen the OCR raised and articles on inflation being the highest it's been in 10+ years. Fuel prices have soared to an all time high and then the only legit place we can shop has hiked prices so that we're now spending up to 20% of our take home wage on groceries. It might have something to do with all the treats we're popping in the trolly to get through the days ....!

But a trend that hasn't taken us by surprise as we've seen it throughout the year and now as we're in lockdown house prices are increasing - by 29% for the North Shore. Coupled with days to sell (ie. days from making the property go live to sold) and lower stock this is the right time to sell - we are seeing a peak.
